It should now be much easier to configure exactly how you want your data to be indexed by BlackLab, by writing a (YAML or JSON) configuration file instead of Java code.

XML formats can be described using XPath 1.0 expressions. In addition to this, BlackLab now also directly supports tabular formats (CSV, TSV, Sketch Engine WPL) and plain text. Preliminary support for the (CHILDES) CHAT format is also available.
