Hello, I am proud to announce a new version of UpdateProton. Since the last stable release I have made some serious changes to the script.

I have listed more details below.

And now have fun with the new version, I hope using it is as much fun as developing it. If you find bugs or have problems, feel free to file a problem report on the issues page.

Major changes

• completely replaced wget with curl
• made Script compliant to XDG_BASE_DIRECTORY
• disabled download size display for now
• major overhaul of version extraction (should be stable, at last)
• simplified command failure logic, make use of curl error report instead of using generic error messages
